Configuring Forms (PRO) – Gravity Forms

Setup and configuration for using a Gravity Forms form

If you have purchased the SUPPBOT PRO version and are using the paid Gravity Forms plugin, proceed as follows:

First, create a new form.

The revelant fields

Add relevant form fields. It is recommended to use the following fields:

  • Name (Single Line Text)
  • Email Address (E-Mail Field)
  • Note (for additional user comments) (Paragraph Text)
  • Request (this field will be pre-filled by Suppbot)(Paragraph Text)
  • and optionally a Consent field for privacy policies, etc.

You can also use the following Example Form  (right click -> save as)

 

Prepopulate the Request field with Suppbot

In the field that stores the Suppbot questions and answers (Request Field), activate “Allow field to be populated dynamically” under the advanced settings and add the parameter “suppbot” (without quotation marks). Dont forget to set the visibility to Administrative.

 

Customize your personal infos under the tab notifications und confirmations

Save the form

Select your Form for Suppbot

Select Gravity Forms in the Form Options and choose your previously created form from the dropdown list.
Optionally, you can display the form title and form description if you wish.
Choose “Load with Ajax” if you want to display the confirmation message without the page being reloaded.
